I envy Smokers

You know sometimes I envy smokers. True they smell and are slowly killing themselves. But they are able to sit outside on a day like this on their own and not have people wonder what they are doing. I spend a lot of my time in a dark room on my own for hours a day only leaving to go home or lunch and it can make one go a bit crazy. (I listened to Derek Mooney today who had Eddie Hobbs on). So I like the idea of just sitting out side for a wee bit. But if you don't have a fag in your hand. People thinks its strange.

Then again I don't smell.

Ever since I was a kid i've hated chewing gum. In my opinion its a disgusting filthy habit and only one rung on the ladder above smoking.

What i propose is that we ban chewing gum in the work place. This would help my sanity greatly and also give you an excuse to go outside more often.

Also the smell would not be a problem.

I think I envy that privilege too - you can't just stand outside and enjoy the fresh air for five/ten minutes for no reason. But three or four breaks a day really adds up time-wise - its amazing that employers allow cigarette breaks.
