Subconscious reactions

Certain stimuli provoke certain reactions in all human beings. For example, a change in lighting will cause the pupil of the human eye to change size, adapting to the new intensity of light. Similarly, when exposed to cold temperatures the hairs on the human body stand up and the person begins to shiver in a subconscious attempt to retain body temperature.

Was I right, or was I right?

Can you imagine how long that person was waiting to use that? They probably cried with delight when finally the opportunity presented itself. They might even have won an award. At the very least they must surely be the uber celebrity of their workplace.
