Released this weekend, 'Half Nelson' is the movie that earned Ryan Gosling his surprise Oscar nomination earlier in the year. It tells the story of a drug addicted teacher and the strange relationships he strikes up with his students. I hear good things and I look forward to it. Also this weekend, 'Lives of Others', the winner of the Best Foreign Language Oscar is in the second week of its run, with terms like 'classic' being used in reviews.
